I you have cash, go with Sophos as client side scanning and Mail Sweeper as gateway scanning. I like to stay away from AV on producation Exchange servers. Then again, I used to use Norton. Previously one exchange server got infected and spread the virus to all other exchange servers. I need a solution that can filter off x.400 and also enable directory synching to take place. Another Idea was to add a second exchange server in front of the real exchange server and set a virus scanner on this one. Is there a way of stoping the messages via MTA at one exchange server and then passing it on to the main server.
