You probably can try this.  Create a special group that is denied to
access to all the mailboxes.  Then, when you are about to do the
maintenance, put all those 293 users into this deny group.  Take them
out of the group afterwards.

we have about 300+ users and during the maintenance we want to prevent
access to 293 and bring access to 7 , nothing easy in the registry key
to do this? I remember 5.5 there was a IS registry key to deal with this
but the same solution does not work in MSX2000. About the dismount not
good idea we DO NOT have time to move 293 mailboxes.
