Further to this discussion Microsoft only sends security bulletins to people who subscribe to the Microsoft Product Security Notification Service. These always have the subject: Microsoft Security Bulletin MSxx-xxx (where the x is a number).
Also the message body is PGP signed and starts -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Finally. The message will explain the problem and supply a URL in the following format http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms02-006.asp It is only when you go to this address that you wil be able to obtain the fix.
