That's what I thought. In which case; what would happen if his main server went down completely and a backup was done to the recovery server of a different name? Wouldn't his clients be looking for a mailbox on a server that isn't available anymore? Plus the old server wouldn't be up to redirect the request for them like in a migration or mailbox move.

Joyce, Probably because he has the test/alternative server is on the live network and restoring it from the live RAIT drive backup server, that backed up the live server (We had this at BP). We use ArcserveIT 6.61EE to backup our Exchange server...I did a restore of our IS for a disaster recovery test and noticed that when I went to look at the hidden recipients...none of the ones that I have now showed up. I've got my recovery exchange box setup as a new site, same org. name and site domain but different server name. Curious if anyone else using this product get the same thing?
