It's not the actual PF connection agreement that converts the UDGs into
USGs.  As far as I'm aware, it's the Exchange 2000 store.exe process
that does the conversion as and when people try to access the public
folders that previously had DLs within their ACLs.  That's what I've
seen anyway; I've seen the event logs where the store.exe process can't
upgrade the UDG to a USG (in my case it was due to a zombie access
control entry not being removed properly from the 5.5 environment)

I am in Native mode, but after replicating PFs, the distribution Lists
are still that in AD and not Security groups.  What will happen when I
throw e2k in the mix and try to replicate public folders?

When you create a PF ADC, does it convert the distribution lists used as
security in 5.5 to security groups on AD?
