If you want to do messaging\AD stuff.....get the MS certs. If you want to do Cisco stuff....get the Cisco certs
If you want to do both....get both. If you are going to go get a job working with AD\Exchange 2k....a Cisco cert won't get you as far as the MS certs (with regards to that stack of resumes that the hiring manager has to go through)....IMO and visa-versa if you are going for a Network Engineer spot. Get certified in what you want to do.....live it...learn it....love it. Certifications aren't always what you need. Nothing is a substitute for real world experience. A certification is a way to make yourself stand out in a stack of resumes. Your experience and knowledge is what should get you the job. My opinion of course. I'm sure others will disagree...but you did as for an opinion. }:> Steve -----Original Message----- From: Smith Thomas Contr 911 SPTG/SC [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2002 11:58 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Cerification question There is a big sqaubble about the best certification to get( and this was being discussed at Ohio State) That if you was going to get any type of certification EXCHANGE IS NOT THE ONE to get, Cisco is the premier certification. One of the speakers was telling a senior class this before graduation starts. Do anyone agree with that or does it make a difference? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
