So to you the lack of a MCSE means they werent interested in educating themselves? Sheesh. Sounds like you need some education yourself.

I studied the Cisco stuff because we were converting from x.25 to frame relay and I wanted to do it so I asked the company to give me a shot. I used the knowledge again when we switched to NVPN. My only point is that the Certs were about what I needed to improve my skill set. I had to hire a guy recently (echoing Lori and Ray) and I hired the guy that had very little Practical experience but he did have an MCSE. I thought that at least showed that he wanted to learn.
