Iam not sure if the hardware really matters, what you can do is setup your server as similar as possible to the old server i.e. logs/db etcpaths should be the same. Restore the databases (online) making sure that Org/site names are the same, also makesure that in the registry that RestoreInProgress key is pointing to teh correct locations.
Then start the services. You do not have to do a isinteg -patch for online restores. If its Offline , thehn its pretty straight forwards provided your backups are realiable.
