Keeping your e-mails excessively long means they can become evidence
excessively long.

As I've always said, document retention will benefit
those organizations who act ethically.  I don't think
it makes sense to destroy all your evidence when those
with an axe to grind keep all theirs.  Those with
nothing to hide shouldn't be hiding it.
