I worked with a couple of implentations of UM... It's great for those whom travel a lot, or those that would rather not pick up a phone or go to a fax machine -geeks and high level execs and sales critters are good candidates for it. I have worked with Octel/Lucent, and also the Mitel version. It was not the most stable thing -a few voicemail boxes deleted themselves (the tech did not tell us that the default setting was to delete the box in a week) but it worked pretty well after a bit.
