I don't remember if you need to stop and restart the IS for this setting
to work.  Anyone?

I click on deleted items in Outlook.  I then go to recover deleted items
from the tool bar.  It opens the window but the window is empty and the
3
buttons are dimmed as I am sure due to the fact that there is no mail
listed in the window.  It seems that all the mail is either hard deleted
or the server is not holding it even though I just deleted a message and
emptied the deleted items.



What do you mean, "ghosted"?
