> Is this a daunting undertaking? Adding a new Exchange 5.5 server to a site is fairly straightforward, especially in a smaller org. Run setup and join the existing site.
> Does it makes sense? That depends. I know of organizations which have 5,000+ users on a single box. They have a low concurrency of users and small mailbox limits. How long does it take you to back up the exchange server? How large is your information store? Do users complain the system is slow (check that, users always complain the system is slow... is the system actually slow)? Will the cost of the OS, Exchange CAL and backup software fit in your existing budget? > -----Original Message----- > From: Jeff Smith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, July 12, 2002 10:54 PM > To: Exchange Discussions > Subject: Re: 2nd Exchange server > > I have inherited a 2000 users Exchange 5.5 / NT4 server.
