we have antigen without outlook and everything works fine. but if you feel the need for a client, you can always use the good old exchange client.
The only part that you'll notice is during the installation, antigen will look for the client. if there isn't one, the installation gives you an error, but it will still continue. > exchange 5.5 sp4, nt4 sp6a multiple server environment > > my company is looking for a new anti-virus product. our contract with > Norton is up and we have issues with it (one day the corp. edition is > running, the next day it is disabled and a reboot will not fix. a > complete uninstall and the re-install is needed, some servers it will not > load at all, etc..). > > looking at other exchange aware packages, (sybari, panda etc) they want > the outlook clinet installed on the exchange server for e-mail > notifications.
