That's true.  The only good way to expose Exchange 5.0 to the Internet
when you need to allow SMTP routing is to use two servers with an IMS,
one exposed to the Internet with relaying disabled and one that isn't
exposed with relaying enabled.

Exchange 5.0 has two options when it comes to relaying. Allow it, or
don't. If you need more granular control, you'll need to upgrade.
