I find the problem. The mailbox on the Subscriber side was hidden. After un-hiding it, all is well!

But I am having trouble remembering if this was the interorg sync tool or the interorg replication tool. This may be it: It is important to understand that the service account and mailbox that you create must be listed as an owner of each public folder and subfolder you want to replicate, on either the publisher or the subscriber. This enables the utility to replicate Anonymous and Default permissions from one organization to the other. Use Microsoft Outlook to change the ownership and the permissions of public folders. Or this: The computer where the InterOrg Replicator utility is installed must be located in the same domain as either the publisher or the subscriber servers. The computer must have: Interorg sync does not work across different languages. Also: The InterOrg Replication Configuration Utility Cannot Log On When A Mailbox Exists in More than One Site in an Exchange Organization If a mailbox exists in more than one site in an Exchange organization, the InterOrg Replication Configuration utility cannot log on to a server in that organization. This is true regardless of whether the organization is the publishing organization or the subscribing organization. If you should encounter this problem while installing the InterOrg Replication Configuration utility, rename one of the mailboxes in the target site and try to log on again. > I have setup the InterOrg Replication Utility to replicate public folders > between two different domains/organizations. > Everything appears to be installed correctly.
