I have two of my departments using a number of shared calendars for scheduling purposes with OL XP. They are using all the color and labeling features which seem to work great. The only complaint that I have received is that the colors aren't displayed correctly on the 2000 machines that I have running.
I haven't tried them with individual calendars that are shared though.
