Cthulhu Jones, While I appreciate your "gifted" response. The code in question is not mine. I do understand enough programming and PERL to figure out what is going on. I did resolve the issue, sort of, by using a sendmail server to relay the messages, the E2K server and IIS SMTP service would not work. Looks as if it was RFC 812 compliant, but anyway. It also worked using 5.5. Now I just have to find the difference between the communication strings of the 5.5 & sendmail system versus the E2K and IIS 5.0 service. Why . . .oh why it interprets a QUIT command before it send the mail? And not it is not a relay issue. Checked that.
