Mirapoint has a solid product offering. I am not going to get into pros and cons of it versus Exchange, I'd have to know much more about your environment to offer anything meaningful.
The concerns that I would have is just exactly what business benefits you would receive by implementing Mirapoint versus Exchange. Email migrations are not fun things to perform for most organizations and they typically have a considerable impact upon end users. End users hate change when it comes to their messaging systems.
