Seen something simular. It had nothing to do with the server..

I moved the temporary internet files (or whatever that particular system called it) to another disk. I think the registry had still a setting to drive C while the folder was moved to drive D. The first problem was reported about 2 months after I moved the folder..

It gave exactly the same errormessage you experienced.

So.. perhaps you did something simular or it has something to do with IE settings.

Anyway, you may need to look on another location then the server itself..

Other things to think about: set logging on the server to maximum, check the systemlog.

If nothing helps try if it's fixed after a reboot :-)
