Yes Tony...that's what she said. At least one Ex5.5 server and one E2k server...read the first two lines of her post.
Ali...It sounds to me like a replication timing issue. I would also guess that you have replication between the E2k environment and the Ex5.5 environment scheduled to happen once a night? If so, here's my theory: 1. User makes a change to the DL while at work...the system saves that change. After the given replication period, your Ex5.5 server replicates that change to the rest of the Ex5.5 servers. 2. User logs off the corporate LAN, goes home and logs in, then synchs. At this point, she overwrites the current DL with the old one from her workstation. That older DL is then replicated to the rest of the 5.5 environment. 3. System then replicates that overwritten DL to the primary E2k organization. It would only stand to reason in this scenario that if step #2 never happens, that the Ex5.5 org is going to replicate the correct list to the E2k org overnight. So my question is this...Is her client machine setup so that she synchs all changes from the Exchange system to her .ost file, when she logs off and shuts down her laptop at the end of the day? Just my $.02 from someone that knows nothing about E2k. -----Original Message----- From: Tony Hlabse [mailto:thlabse@;hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, November 15, 2002 12:00 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Re: disappearing DL changes (5.5)... More than one Exchange server? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ali Wilkes (IT)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, November 15, 2002 1:27 PM Subject: disappearing DL changes (5.5)... 5.5 sp4 and ex2ksp3 (mixed). User is on 5.5, uses a laptop with Office 2k. User does use laptop "offline". (i.e. dial in from home and synch) While at work, on corporate LAN, user modifies membership of DL (of which user is the owner) in GAL. Changes appear in GAL. User goes home at night, logs in, comes to work next day, changes are gone/undone. But note also: User makes changes at work, doesn't log on from home that night, next day, changes still there. That night, takes laptop home, logs in, next day, changes are still there from before. So...... if she logs on from home the same day she makes changes, the changes dissapear. If she waits a day, the changes work. Any ideas.....
