These log files are pretty important. :)

They are what exchange will use to recover your data after a restore. (You restore the
database, then replay the logs). Yes, exchange will still work, up until you have a
problem anyway.

There are two ways to keep to a minimum[1]:
1. Backup using an Exchange aware product
2. Circular logging.

Also, circular logging = BAD. Or rather, if you want to be able to restore all your
data, circular logging = BAD.

[1] Note, I said keep to a minimum, not stop.[2]

Subject: eoo.log files

My exchange server is creating a series of log files in the MDBData dir. These files
are 5mg files and are taking up a lot of space on the server. I know that I can
delete these file and exchange will still work. I cannot find a way to make exchange
stop logging this series on files. any help would be nice.

Example log file name: E0000A3E.log

Thanks,
Jeff
