Jeffrey, Have you ever read a book about managing Microsoft Exchange? Have you ever taken a class about managing Microsoft Exchange? Have you ever before had any experience whatsoever with Microsoft Exchange?
What you have done is potentially data destructive. It is also a big no-no. I would suggest you do some learning before you cause any further damage. Here are some resources for you to investigate on your own. I would suggest doing this before you do anything else to your exchange server. http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Managing Microsoft Exchange Server - Paul Robichaux Exchange Server 5.5 - 24/7 Exchange Server 2000 - 24/7 Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 - Planning, Design and Implementation - Tony Redmond Microsoft Exchange Server for Windows 2000: Planning, Design, and Implementation - Tony Redmond That should give you a good start. -----Original Message----- From: Jeffery Caudill [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Posted At: Thursday, December 05, 2002 12:18 PM Posted To: List - Exchange Server List Conversation: eoo.log files Subject: RE: eoo.log files I have three other servers that do not create so many of this particular log file. -----Original Message----- From: Ali Wilkes (IT) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2002 11:59 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: eoo.log files Back up his server? He obviously never REBOOTS his server. I choked when I read this. Really. I did. I'm not sure if I was trying to laugh, or cry. WOW. How do you make exchange stop writing log files. That's like asking how you make your car run without turning it on first. Note to self: never use information-consultants.com. <Ali collapses, staring at a spot on the wall....> -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Parkey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Posted At: Thursday, December 05, 2002 11:51 AM Posted To: List - Exchange Server List Conversation: eoo.log files Subject: RE: eoo.log files Do you ever back up your server?
