I finally gave up after about a month of troubleshooting (this was about eight months ago). Check out HP's forums. I remember finding some very helpful tidbits in there when I was trying to get this to work. http://forums.itrc.hp.com. Do a search for 9100C LDAP and hit the checkmarks for the forums.
