Well it seems your site is small. Why not just make a new Exchange 2000  and
move all the email by using Exmerge after you have implemented AD. Then once
you satisfied with the results, change DNS to point to your new Exchange
server. That is one way but again only you know what is best for your
situation. If your not sure bring in a Exchange consultant.
