William,

>PSS ID Number: Q172813
>XADM: Troubleshooting High CPU Utilization By Store.exe

Hadn't thought to check the tracking log, unfortunately no sign of a looping
message.

>PSS ID Number: Q215924
>XADM: Store Process Is Causing 100 Percent CPU Utilization

Fixed in SP3, I'm SP4. Also, single server so there should be no PF
replication.

>PSS ID Number: Q183633
>XADM: High CPU in Store.exe with Incorrectly Formatted Attachment

Fixed in SP1.

>PSS ID Number: Q192065
>XADM: High CPU Utilization in STORE Process Due to Categorized Views

Can't tell if this is fixed in a SP or not. Resolution says "obtain latest
service pack" which applies it's in a SP. But Status says "fix now available
but hasn't been regression tested... Call PSS" which implies it's not in an
SP.

In any case I doubt my users know how to create a "categorized view" -- then
again this is a new exchange box (~2 weeks) so maybe there is a default view
that just got hit.

Anyone know if this fix is in SP4 or not?

At any rate, we'll be moving to E2K "soon" so maybe I'll just wait and hope
it doesn't hit again before we move -- once we move I get a new set of bug
to worry about <G>

Try stopping it and see what happens.

Ooops, should have mentioned. NAV 2.12 in MAPI/VAPI mode.

OK, I just had to restart my exchange box because of a 100% store.exe. The
memory was ~800Meg, but it's a 1Gig machine doing nothing else but exchange.

I don't see anything in the event log indicating an error (at least it
applied the 4 log files, thank god for logging <G>).

I haven't found any on-topic KB articles. I see one on post-sp4 store.exe
fixes (282533) but none of the specific fixes seem on topic.

Any suggestions on where to begin the search for the problem?
