We are in the process of finishing up a migration from 5.5 to E2K and the only place I can think of where the old service account would be a problem is with the ADC and any place else you use it. Just be sure that once you have gone native that you have it removed from every nook and cranny. Check such things as services, Site folders under the Administrative Groups container, etc.

It is intended that there will be a new W2K domain with a 2 way trust to the old NT4 domain in place, the users will be migrated with SID history to the new domain using the ADMT kit. In the lab environment she is finding that when installing a new exchange 2000 site to the old exchange org, it is requiring that the old exchange service account password be entered to add it to the administrative group. Is she right to be worried that this will be a problem when the old domain is removed? Any suggested alternatives? If we should we create a new Exchange Organisation and use Exmerge, are there any solutions to solve the problems of clients who open additional mailboxes, and delegate permissions etc?
