First you will need a fax card (forget the modem thing , it does not work reliably..I wont get into the tech about it all) but a Brooktrout analog 2 channel cheapest is like 500.00 then from there If your really good with code you could wrtie something up..you could do the open soft of the fax software that run's on unix (i forget the name, check a linux mag art's about 6 month ago).
