Start by ensuring that all the settings on both ends "match" - especially the two way alternate setting. It almost sounds like that isn't configured correctly.
The other idea is to make sure that its not a name resolution issue by using IP addresses rather than host names to specify the server on the other end. ------------------------------------------------------ Roger D.
