The hardware requirements for E2K3 vs E2K are generally equivalent, whether that hardware is sufficient for you org is not really something I can say with any degree of certainty. It meets the minimum hardware requirements I believe.
Whether or not it is worth $1000 for you is not really a question I can answer.
