The IMC is set to route traffic only for the internal domain and only if the traffic is inbound. [Routing Tab - Reroute incoming SMTP mail (required for PP3/IMAP4 support) is checked. Below this is a box that contains '<ourdomain.com> inbound'. Hope that clears things up.
