Well, is the error message suggesting the situation that you are in? Are you trying to upgrade another Exchange 5.5 server in a different site than your existing AD/E2K implementation? Usually, if you are setting up the second E2K box into the same AD forest and same Domain as the first E2K is in, then you don't need to run Forestprep or domainprep.

When I look this up at microsoft, Q283027 suggests I run forestprep and domainprep. Is this a good idea? Is this going to wreck/damage my existing Active Directory stuff? I thought running forestprep and domainprep on the first server did all the schema changes necessary.......
