Yes I have noticed that OWA allows you to do some strange things. You may try and run the resetfolders switch when starting Outlook then drag the items back to the recovered inbox

Have you tried using the Exchange client to move it back?

Subject: inbox in deleted items

A user has cleverly moved her inbox to her deleted items folder!! I know
you cannot do this with the client, she has done it with OWA. Cannot it to
go back as is system folder. Question 1 is why/how is this possible?
Question 2 is how to get it back. I guess the only way is to delete mailbox
and recreate having backed to .pst??
any other ideas and how I can prevent this in future?

thanks
