Use the Ffolder utility to delete the system "Inbox" folder then use the Outlook switch to rebuild system folders. Look on Sue Mosher's Slipstick site for Ffolder Utility: Ffolder Utility: Utility to rename or delete "special" Outlook folders such as the Calendar, Tasks, Inbox, and Contacts. http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#ffolder Delete the inbox, then use the "/ResetFolders" switch to rebuild the system folder. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3b197180

You may try and run the resetfolders switch when starting Outlook then drag the items back to the recovered inbox From: "MSXLIST (MSX Discussions List)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: "Exchange Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: inbox in deleted items Date: Fri, 3 Oct 2003 13:31:40 +0100 Have you tried using the Exchange client to move it back? -----Original Message----- From: Watkins V [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 October 2003 10:51 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: inbox in deleted items A user has cleverly moved her inbox to her deleted items folder!! I know you cannot do this with the client, she has done it with OWA. Cannot it to go back as is system folder. Question 1 is why/how is this possible? Question 2 is how to get it back. I guess the only way is to delete mailbox and recreate having backed to .pst?? any other ideas and how I can prevent this in future? thanks ex5.5 sp4 etc. NT 4 sp6a etc, Vanessa Watkins Network Manager Royal Holloway, University of London Tel: 01784 443728 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
