Works just fine. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Binner, Lori Sent: Monday, May 18, 2015 12:18 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [Exchange] Question about nesting shared mailboxes as members of an Exchange distribution group
Hello- I have a first-time request here from a user that they want to have a Distribution group that is comprised of 3 of our existing shared mailboxes/email addresses as members. It appears this can be done and it isn't necessarily the scenario of adding/mixing Active Directory security access groups with Exchange as I have read many negatives on that particular topic. So, again, is it okay to add shared mailboxes as members of an Exchange Distribution group? Are others doing this, and if so, are there any shortcomings I need to be aware of that I haven't thought of? Using Exchange 2010 on premise, Outlook 2010/2013 client. Thank you.
