Just go ahead and use the recommendation from Paul's blog. He's a reliable
resource. :-)

I check that box as a matter of course when I do a new installation of Exchange.

Subject: [Exchange] DNS ErrorRetry

Exchange 2010 on 2008 R2, current on SP's and rollups. There is no edge server
in the mix, just one hub and two mx. Having an issue with sub domain email
addresses. [email protected] DNS is failing, then they time out.

SMTP,mail.bw.edu,-,Messages: 0 Bytes: 0 (The DNS query for
'DnsConnectorDelivery':'mail.bw.edu':'b24305cc-5873-4c34-b6fa-1d65ffcd8482'
failed with error : ErrorRetry)

First time I have ever seen this, and so far it only appears to be this one
domain but I am not certain of that yet.

Looks a lot like the below links, but I am hesitant to start changing things
for one problem I have never had before. IPV6 is currently enabled, but not
being used.

Send connector is set to use the NIC. NSLookups from the hub server.
