That is odd.... EOP is generally pretty good about blatant spam. Are you certain the headers reflect entry via EOP?
You could certainly create a new mailbox to host those addresses and forward the output to the folder. But I realize that this is not seamless. No MX records pointing locally remaining. Headers show that the message was delivered via MS servers. What I was hoping for was an option to set up the equivalent of a user mailbox's "Junk Email" folder into which suspect messages could be quarantined for later review by an administrator or folder owner. This particular public folder is monitored by a firm principal who is not enjoying the growing number of messages from ViagiaCials@whateverdomain.??<mailto:ViagiaCials@whateverdomain.??> and other similarly blatant spam. Spam filtering for users is working reasonably well in terms of routing junk from the primary inbox to Junk Email folders. I also actually don't think I'm seeing ALL that much blatant spam in my personal Junk Email folder - just seems to be more coming through to public folders. If you still have your MX pointed to an on-premises server - that's what is causing the added spam. Since our conversion to Office 365, it has been receiving a growing amount of spam. Is there any way to set up mail filtering for public folders or distribution groups? Thanks & Happy New Year!
