It was mentioned in a status call today, but the fix decision was still "pending".
If it is a problem, then sure, remove the UR. Note that this will not fix messages which have already been received via OWA. But new messages will not experience the problem. If you remove the UR, you'll be back to where you were before you installed the UR.
