You may as well write your own. I doubt they have any interest in making
such a change.

As a customer I hope they have better things to work on.... like about 50
Exchange2000 bugs.

this one thing i hate about outlook. why doesn't it just open read only
.pst files as read only?? I've filled in a microsoft wish list form but no
noise yet.... does anybody know the internal format of a .pst file? I'll
write my own viewer if i could....

Just a note on that, when you archive the psts to a cd, and copy them
off for the user, tell them to clear the read only attribute before
opening it in OL. This little caveat stumped me once a long time ago
during something similar!

I'd suggest what we did is just start fresh and archive the users .pst
files
to CDs. start with blank mailboxes and that way you don't have
zillions of
old mails......... not what you wanted to hear, so sorry. (i hate
it
too when you don't get a decent answer, you just get opinions)
