Our users have been lucky over the years to not have any message limit on their mailboxes. However, we've also been using PST's to store all the mail. We are making the move to server-based storage slowly but surely as I work on getting people used to not storing 1GB of e-mail (although they still can, just not on our server obviously). Anyway, the first thing I want to do is enact a message size limit. I'm starting off with a 20MB limit (I've seen someone send a 164MB e-mail before) and I added that to the Internet Mail Service's Message Size box (under the General tab). This works obviously for external Internet e-mail, but NOT for internal e-mail. How do I get it to work for internal e-mail? I thought I'd just have to go to the MTA properties and change it there, but that doesn't seem to work.
So, my first question is how do I get this to work? My second question is, what the heck is the MTA message size for if not internal e-mail?
Thanks a lot,
Allen
