Do you have a Win2K DC which uses DNS for name resolution? I had an intermittent issue with that 'til I got the DNS right. Try this NT DL, which is mainly W2K now: Windows NT discussion list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe from this listserver, send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Place in the body of the message: UNSUBSCRIBE NT-L Good luck Bob Peitzke -----Original Message----- From: Nelson Aguillon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, December 17, 2001 4:29 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Network browsing using Windows 2000 Professional Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with Windows 2000 Professional when browsing the network for shared folders. Specifically, on a server holding over 10,000 design files (roughly 20kb each in size). It's taking anywhere from 30 to 40 seconds to "pull up" the files on the screen. However, if I go to a Windows 95 machine and browse the network to the same folder, it brings it up in about 3 to 4 seconds. Any suggestions???
