We installed and configured a new, clean one and the sun shines again :) I also think, like Joseph suggested, that Exchange and snapshots are not really recommended. If the customer had at least one backup of the system state of one of the DCs, than we could try to restore it, but ...

That being the case, you snaped only your exchange box :) I am now not surprised you have AD issues, as you rolled back to a state not consistent with AD. Customer configuration is: 1 CCR cluster, 1 Hub server (with CAS and Unified Messaging), 1 Edge Server (are all VMware VMs) All begun yesterday when I tried to install SP1. Starting with the Hub, it finished with the error: When the AuthMechanism parameter on a Receive connector is set to the value ExchangeServer, you must set the FQDN parameter on the Receive connector to one of the following values: the FQDN of the transport server "exhub01.domain.com", the NetBIOS name of the transport server "EXHUB01", or $null. So I stopped installing SP1 on the other Exchange nodes (also because on the Edge Server he has Forefront, and I had first to update it before installing SP1). We could still send and receive emails. This morning called me the customer saying OWA doesn't work. You get the login page, but credential validation displays an error page (refer to this document: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/.NET/Q_22655607.html). So I did a snapshot of the VM, uninstalled CAS but reinstall sucked. So, after several troubleshooting tries I ended in reverting to snapshot. Since we have MSExchange ADAccess Event IDs 2114, 2604, 2501, mail is not possible anymore. Any idea what's wrong? Will the installation of a new hub server solve any problem?
