I swear it was an accident! 

It still exists.  Anyone can still create a DNSBL based on whatever
fetish-de-jour they may indulge and publish same.  If someone finds worth in
such a list and adds it to their filtering efforts or is oblivious to that
listholder's policies then havoc is wreakable.

Didn't a dose of RBL vigilantism just hit a month or two ago when some list
decided to set everything to "deny" and caused havoc on the net for a week
or so?
