That's a heck of a lab.

>From the MB server, can you "telnet hub-server 25" and get a connection?

Have you verified that your send- and receive-connectors configured
properly?

You say you: Verified the local disks are not low on storage.

How much storage? In an absolutely ridiculous decision, backpressure starts
taking effect when there is less than 10GB available, and completely shuts
stuff down by 4GB available.

We recently built a lab to mock our production environment. For some
reason, the Hub Transport server does not appear to be talking to Active
Directory. If I send an email from the mailbox server, it just hangs in the
Hub Transport Queue. Event Viewer shows....

Source: MSExchangeMailSubmis
Category: MSExchangeMailSubmiss
Event ID: 1009
User: N/A
Computer: Hub Transport

Description:

The Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission service is currently unable to
contact any Hub Transport servers in the local Active Directory site. The
servers may be too busy to accept new connections at this time.

>From the research I've done and the possible fixes I've ran across, I've
already....

Verified the local disks are not low on storage.
Made sure no Firewall filtering is taking place for network data or blocking
RPC.
Exchange is not in a perimeter network.
Rebooted the Domain Controller, Hub Transport and Mailbox servers.
Verified Microsoft Exchange AD Services and Transport Services are running.

Has anybody else ran across this problem?

Thanks.

Rob
