First think I would do is pull the battery. Power back up and see if it works.
Next I would try a device wipe and then add him back to the server. On the 2007 side I get how they look up via availability, but does that also include f/b that is only contained in the Schedule+ Free Busy pf as an eml, i.e. there is no Exchange mailbox only a service that pushes the f/b to the public folder?
