So it is just a particular type of email (meeting request) that is not making
it to the BB.  Things to check;

 *   BB filters
 *   Outlook rules
 * Outlook user or their delegate accepting/declining the meeting (this
causes a delete of the email)

Subject: Re: Intermittent appointment problem BES

Clarification. The director told me it is meeting requests that don't come
through. The appointments, once accepted, do appear on the BB user's calendar.

It's intermittent and based on my new understanding of the problem, a restart
doesn't seem necessary to fix the problem, as I just tested an appointment and
she received the request on her BB, and the BES hadn't been restarted since she
reported the problem. A review of the logs hasn't seen anything to jump out at
me, either. I don't have a time frame of when the meeting rquests were
generated. If I can find that, I might have better luck, too.

Intermittently, appointments stop synching with BB's. My solution to date has
been to restart the BES. One of our directors is dissatisfied with that
approach and has asked me to research a better solution. Googling doesn't seem
to offer up any answers more enlightening than to restart. Can anyone point me
to something more authoritative or provide some general guidance?
Alternatively, if this behavior is less prevelant on Exchange 2010 not on an
SBS, that's also useful information, because that was nixed from my prior year
budget, and suspect it's up for nixing again. Since she's a director, she can
be my ace in the hole on this front.

Thanks,
Jonathan
