Well a couple of customers of mine recently have either looked at both, one moving away from CommVault who ended up staying with CommVault, another on EV who is moving to CommVault so that says something as moving between products isn't trivial.
But as an end user, I use EV and day to day it fits what OP asked for pretty well. Once all the right add-ins are configured it works smoothly and doesn't interrupt my workflow.
