Funnily enough I was at another UK uni and they were also singing it's praises.
Some points of EV they liked were that it also brings SIS not only to the
archived mail but also those same attachments sitting on file servers etc.

I can't go into specifics about my customer that moved from EV, but basically
they were on an old version and moving to Exchange 2010 would have had to spend
a lot of money either way, and were very keen on CommVault for backups and it
went from there.

Yup. EV is very highly configurable and integrates perfectly with Outlook and
OWA (with IE). I'd be interested to understand the reasons for migrating to a
different product though.

Well a couple of customers of mine recently have either looked at both, one
moving away from CommVault who ended up staying with CommVault, another on EV
who is moving to CommVault so that says something as moving between products
isn't trivial.

But as an end user, I use EV and day to day it fits what OP asked for pretty
well. Once all the right add-ins are configured it works smoothly and doesn't
interrupt my workflow.
