I've seen it myself! I'm not a casual iOS / ActiveSync user either, so honestly - I'm not imagining it!
But, I've thought nothing of it to be honest - because it mostly works; but several times since upgrading push has stopped working until I've manually updated.. Then it's OK again. It's happened enough that I've noticed, but not enough that I've looked into it.
