It is bad to point out short comings of the other person/nation but if someone tries to ridicule you or your nation, you need to put things in the right perspective. This was not an article Madhu wrote about the US but was responding to a letter she received. I think she was right in what she did. Gone are those Gandian days when if someone slaps you, you put the other cheek forward.
