Well, I was thinking of myself as postmaster, and I sure as heck didn't want them in my mailbox! And certainly not interrupting me. I rather wanted them left on the queue so that I could either manually remove them, or get whatever the problem was fixed when I looked at them at a time of my own choosing. (Remember, this was 10 years ago, when we didn't have the current forgery plague.)
